Food safety has never been more important—and yet, as the recent E. coli and norovirus scandals at Chipotle Mexican Grill have shown, even the most well known brands can still have significant issues keeping foodborne illnesses under control. The UK Food Standards Agency has identified Listeria in particular as a major focus between 2015 and 2020, and the industry is taking notice.

As a supplier of industrial cleaning solutions and equipment, Holchem has developed a reputation in the UK and Ireland for hygiene and food safety. In light of increased foodborne illness concerns, Holchem is strengthening the training and education side of the business with the addition of a new Level 3 Listeria Management course to its training portfolio.
According to Holchem, the two-day standalone course is designed around day-to-day tactics that can help hygiene, technical, engineering and production managers throughout the food manufacturing supply chain manage and minimize Listeria risks. Between this course and an online Listeria course, Holchem hopes to give manufacturers a strong supply of tools to combat foodborne pathogens and keep consumers safe.
