Employing over 370 people, JobMeal is an office coffee provider with operations in Sweden and Finland.
Jacobs Douwe Egberts, which owns coffee brands such as Jacobs, Tassimo, Kenco and Douwe Egberts, said that the acquisition offers new growth opportunities for the company in the Nordic region.
“The addition of JOBmeal to our Nordic family will enable us to expand our reach in Sweden and Finland,” said George Schoof, General Manager JDE Professional Nordics.
“Together we will be better able to serve the evolving needs of customers at all levels, through a truly Nordic footprint.”
The agreement will also give JOBmeal’s customers access to JDE’s range of tea and coffee brands.
“At JOBmeal, our goal and our passion is to significantly enhance the office coffee experience,” said JOBmeal CEO Fredrik Mossberg.
“Becoming part of JDE gives us great opportunities to accelerate our development towards that goal.
“We look forward to being able to share the vast expertise within JDE and deliver even better coffee and tea experiences to our customers in the Nordic region.”
Last week, Amsterdam-based JDE also announced that it will acquire Turkish tea producer Ofçay, according to an official application submitted to Turkey's Competition Board.
