Happy Friday! How about a video to lead us into the weekend?

As we know, Pabst Brewing Company was acquired by Russian brewing and soft drink company Oasis Beverages earlier this week. If anyone was going to have to put their two cents in about this new development, it’s Stephen Colbert. On this week’s Tuesday edition of The Colbert Report, Colbert weighed in with a segment on the acquisition with his signature brand of pundit outrage.

In the clip he touches on the ownership shift, doubts about the veracity of Oasis’s promise to preserve the PBR recipe, the fact that Oasis is getting all Pabst-owned brands including Old Milwaukee, Schlitz, and Colt 45 – “that’s right, all the beer left in your fridge after a party in 1975” – and of course PBR’s diehard hipster fan base.

“I’m not surprised,” he says of Russia’s interest in the brand. “They’ve been growing ridiculous hipster beards since Rasputin.” We can’t embed the video here, but it’s well worth clicking over to check out the whole thing here
