Technology-focused hotel chain Yotel has announced the launch of its serviced apartment brands named YotelPad, marking the company’s foray into the extended stay market segment. 

The so-called living ‘pads’ will incorporate existing hotel features like adjustable smart beds, co-working areas and its signature Technowall system.

"Following the successful roll out of YOTELAIR and YOTEL, we saw a natural opportunity to rethink the traditional extended stay segment in the same fashion we disrupted conventional hotel models," said YOTEL CEO Hubert Viriot.

The ‘pads’ will offer ‘perfectly designed living solutions’ by utilising space and technology, with standard apartments starting from 20 sqm, according to the brand.

The living space will also have local amenities and communal areas which may include 24/6 gym, bike and gear storage, Amazon lockers, laundry, home cinema and library. 

"YOTELPAD will transcend traditional boundaries with a blend of hotel-quality standards and home-like comforts, all achieved through our signature design DNA making the most out of compact spaces said Jo Berrington, Vice President of Brand at Yotel, 

Not only does this allow each guest or owner to have a fully functional private PAD, but with the added benefit to work, connect, relax and socialise in multifunctional and fun spaces, creating a strong sense of community," continued Berrington.

The new brand is set to launch globally with five projects already confirmed in North America, Europe and the Middle East.

The first YotelPad site will be in Park City, Utah, at the Park City Mountian, the largest ski resort in the United States.
