Doug Rauch has dedicated his career to improving the food and beverage retail industry—first through his 31 years at Trader Joe’s, spending the last 14 years guiding the business as President, and then with the founding of Conscious Capitalism Inc. This year Doug Rauch pushed his passion for providing access to quality food further with the launch of Daily Table, a nonprofit grocery store using food near its sell-by date to provide good food at low costs while also fighting the issue of food waste in the grocery industry. To discuss this latest venture, Doug Rauch has been invited to speak at this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show.

Rauch will be leading a seminar session at Summer Fancy Food Show 2015 entitled, “How to Do Good While Doing Well in the Marketplace.” The thought leader talk will be focused on Rauch’s Daily Table efforts, discussing how his previous experience in retail prepared him for this new project and discussing how other retailers can follow his lead to be financially successful while being socially responsible.

Thought leadership has become a growing part of our show and our culture,” said Ann Daw, president of the Specialty Food Association, owner and producer of the Fancy Food Show, in a press release announcing the speaking event.  “Every year we strive to present speakers who provide new insights into what drives our industry, which is constantly evolving.”

Doug Rauch’s talk at the Summer Fancy Food Show will take place on Monday June 29, 9-10AM.
